TAKING MEASURE

I often used collecting as a means of examining or measuring daily activities. At some point in the collecting, the act morphs into a love affair with the material or action; and most recently an examination of materials on an almost forensic level. Using the strategy of gestural repetition I create small systems of organization and measurement of daily labors. In many ways, this is a small act in challenging the status of certain daily activities that are overlooked or ignored.
